What should I expect?

This will be a public forum of other like-minded caregivers of children with disabilities. In this short 90 minute seminar + question time, you will get a brief insight into how the Triple P program works, and get ideas into how to change challenging behaviours into positive behaviours.

I’m keen, what next?

Visit the Stepping Stones project website:http://www.triplep-steppingstones.net/au-en/get-help/find-a-stepping-stones-session/ go to the relevant program and register your details. You will then be invited to complete a set of questionnaires (should take less than 20 minutes), and I will be in touch via email with more information.

Please register and complete questionnaires before April 21st, so I will have a chance to see how the program can help your family.

How can I find out more?

Visit the Stepping Stones project website: http://www.triplep-steppingstones.net/au-en/home/

Contact the Stepping Stones Triple P on (07) 3365 6499.

How do I know if I qualify to receive help from the FREE Triple P parenting seminar?

As part of the Stepping Stones Project, any parents of a child (aged under 12) with disabilities qualifies. The disability does not need to be verified.

AND if your child also has an intellectual disability, you may qualify for additional funding support, with monetary compensation for any surveys you complete. To find out more about this, please contact the Triple P team on (07) 3365 6499. Please register before April.

Does your community group, school or organisation have 20 or more people interested in a seminar?

I am happy to run a Triple P seminar at your community group, school or organisation. Please contact me on info@couragepsyc.com.au.

Developmental milestone timelines

timeline

Not quite sure if your child is reaching developmental milestones?

The developmental timeline by Parenting Counts is a fantastic resource.

http://www.parentingcounts.org/information/timeline/

Although there are large variations in the timing of child development, it’s often useful to see if things are amiss.

If you click on the timeline elements, it will bring you more information on the developmental milestone. What excites me about this particular resource is that it looks more holistically at development including physical, social, learning and communication milestones.
